We're pleased to announce that our art director and deputy CEO Jon Hodgson is stepping up to the role of Cubicle 7's Creative Director with immediate effect.
Jon has worked with Cubicle 7 since 2009, joining us full time in 2011. Since then he's become an integral part of both the production of Cubicle 7 games and the company itself.
As the company continues to grow and go from strength to strength, Jon's promotion will allow CEO Dominic McDowall to further focus on the development and running of the company.
Dom said: “Having worked closely with Jon for many years I implicitly trust his judgement on what games we should produce and the specifics of the forms they should take. He knows the Cubicle 7 style and ethos as well as I do. He's made insightful choices in the art department, and has had a growing role in the general direction of the company and our games. Having him step up to this new level of responsibility means great things for the future. I can't wait to see where this takes us.”
Jon said: “This is both a great opportunity and a huge challenge. I'm stepping into some big shoes here: Not many people realise quite the level of creative input Dom has always quietly had on all our games. Doctor Who Adventures in Time and Space, The One Ring and World War Cthulhu all spring to mind, games where Dom's vision for what they could be was absolutely pivotal in making them the great games they are. I'll certainly be calling on his finely tuned senses of what makes a great game in the coming months! I love working as part of the Cubicle 7 team and we have some really cool new games to share with you. Busy times!”
