What will they find inside, and what does this mean for the peace and security of all the planets in the Solar System?
Escape from the Arena of Death – Our heroes are needed to rescue a Rocket Ranger agent, Ida Sindt, from the clutches of the Red Scorpion’s Martian allies; but she’s been sentenced to die in the Arena of Death.
Heart of the Scorpion – The thrilling conclusion of the series sees the heroes launch a daring assault on the Red Scorpion’s hidden lair…

About Rocket Age
"It's an alternate history pulpy retro-sci-fi space opera planetary romance. It's throttled up rocket packs burning radium on the long blast to the farthest reaches of the Solar System. It's hunting thunder lizards in the upland jungles of Venus. It's battling Ancient Martian killing machines piloted by the Deutsche Marskorps across the baking red deserts of Mars. It's exploring the deadly skies of Jupiter under the constant threat of Europan disintegration. It's RAY gun wielding heroes bulls-eyeing mutants in the blasted ruins of Io" -Ken Spencer, Rocket Age Line Developer
Rocket Age is set in a universe where, in 1931 Einstein, Tesla and Ray Armstrong, rode the first rocket ship to Mars, discovering that the solar system is populated by strange and wondrous alien peoples and adventure is never far away!
Discovering that they’re not alone in the galaxy, the nations of Earth race one another for the stars, sending out expeditions, embassies and invading armies to far-off worlds. There they discover all manner of alien life, from the stratified caste system of the Martians to the primitive, ape-like Venusians, from the degenerate Ioites and plant-like Ganymedians to the scheming of the Europans. The solar system is teeming with life – and danger!
Players take the role of whatever sort of heroes they want. There are thirteen playable intelligent species and sub-species in the Rocket Age Core Rulebook, with even more introduced in Heroes of the Solar System. What sort of game you play is up to you. Characters might be archaeologists on Mars, scientists exploring Venus, small time merchants running between the planets, or even members of the elite Rocket Rangers blasting off from one hot spot to another.
The Rocket Age setting is packed with danger and excitement – and it needs heroes! Heroes like you…
Rocket Age is powered by the Vortex System – the same ruleset that drives Doctor Who Adventures in Time and Space. It's a quick and easy system using D6s that encourages fast talking and high adventure.
The system is simple enough to pick up in moments – roll two dice, add them to a skill + stat and compare the total to a difficulty number. The more you beat it by, the better you did.
Throw in Story Points, which allow you to cheat death, introduce your own story elements, create technological gizmos and grab hold of the adventure with both hands, and the system really encourages the sort of high-stakes pulp action befitting the genre.
Finally, the Vortex System’s unique initiative system encourages players to talk, think and plot their way out of trouble before they draw their RAY guns, makes every fight exciting and inventive.
Rocket Age was the proud recipient of a Judge's Spotlight ENnie Award in 2014.
