About Cthulhu Tales

In relating the circumstances which have led to my confinement within this refuge for the demented, I am aware that my present position will create a natural doubt of the authenticity of my narrative.”

The Tomb, H.P. Lovecraft

University libraries filled with worm-eaten tomes, legend-haunted townspopulated with degenerate locals and their rustic superstitions, cyclopean ruins from long-forgotten aeons, and the disquieting glimpses of things from beyond...

Can you convince your fellow guests at the sanatorium that you don't belong there? Can you convince yourself?

In Cthulhu Tales players take turns as narrator and, using a hand of beautifully illustrated, tarot-sized cards, tell their Lovecraftian tale, attempting to emerge unscathed.  Meanwhile their opponents use their own cards to attempt to drive the story further into madness.

Cthulhu Tales is a game for 2 to 5 players, authored by the award-winning designers Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello, creators of the Tolkien-themedWar of the Ring strategy game, The One Ring roleplaying game and the Hobbit Talesstorytelling card game.

Cthulhu Tales is coming to Kickstarter soon.
