A Look at the Doctor Who Sourcebooks

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, we’ve been releasing a series of Doctor Sourcebooks for the Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space roleplaying game, releasing a new book every couple of months.

With The Seventh Doctor Sourcebook currently at the printers (and out in PDF already), and The Eighth Doctor Sourcebook just around the corner, we thought it high time we had a look back at the series.

Each of the Doctor Sourcebooks takes an in-depth look at an incarnation of the Doctor, featuring his companions, enemies, allies, gadgets and more. Each presents each of the Doctor’s adventures, giving an overview of the action and themes, exploring how you can use them in your games. We’ll also give you suggestions for further adventures based on the events depicted. As well as being packed with information for use in your games, the books are full of images from that Doctor’s incarnation, and are a wonderful fan resource for the show’s history.

Each of the books is hardcover, full colour and between 160 and 256 pages long. We have commissioned a montage of the eleven Doctors, which will run across the spines of the Sourcebooks when they are on the shelf. The montage is also designed to sit on the shelf next to the Limited Edition Rulebook too!

So far we’ve released the First through Sixth Doctor Sourcebooks in game stores now, with The Seventh Doctor Sourcebook at the printers. You can download a free adventure from each of the sourcebooks on our Downloads page.

And, following hot on the Seventh Doctor’s heels is The Eighth Doctor Sourcebook… The Eighth Doctor Sourcebook not only contains information about the Eighth Doctor’s adventures on-screen and adventuring on turn-of-the-Millennium Earth, but also a way for you and your friends to adventure in the Time War.
